Limited to only 325 dolls, this convention-exclusive release is considerably smaller than many of the regular-production Tyler Wentworth editions from the period and combines an elegant evening presentation with a dramatic masquerade theme. Masquerade stands approximately 16 tall and features the classic Tyler Wentworth head sculpt on the Tyler Original/BA body. She has beautiful painted blue eyes and rooted wheat-blonde hair arranged in an elaborate swept-up evening style. Her sophisticated face paint, soft coral lips, and small gold-tone drop earrings give her the refined appearance that helped establish Tyler Wentworth as one of Robert Tonner’s signature fashion-doll lines. Her ensemble is especially impressive. The floor-length coral and black evening gown features a fitted black bodice dramatically wrapped with coral fabric across the front. Matching coral shoulder straps are accented with decorative gold-tone details, while the skirt continues into a long flowing silhouette with a large sculptural bow at the back. The contrast between the vivid coral fabric and black bodice gives the doll a very strong display presence. Long black opera gloves complete the evening look, along with gold-tone shoes and matching earrings.
